  • Diane comes from the University of Missouri, where she has 19 years’ experience as an editor, executive staff assistant and Printing Services employee. Diane is originally from the Mexico, Mo., area and graduated from Truman State University with a degree in mass communications. She also has an IT certificate from North Central Missouri College, where she worked in public relations for three years. Her farm roots, communication skills and attention to detail are a great fit for Farm Journal Media.   • Jonie Mackey comes to Farm Journal Media from previous employment as an accounting assistant at the Poet Bio refining ethanol plant in Laddonia, Mo. She also has considerable retail and customer service experience. Jonie has lived in mid-Missouri all her life. Her ties to agriculture go back to earlier years in raising hogs, cattle and horses. She and her husband, Michael, are part of a small family cattle farm in northern Callaway County. She enjoys all outdoor activities including hunting in both gun and archery seasons.   • An Indiana farm girl, Julie is managing editor of Top Producer magazine. She has been covering agriculture news for nearly 10 years, writing about a variety of topics from farm economics and agronomics to the livestock and seed industries. She moved to East Central Missouri from northern Virginia where she served as director of communications for the American Seed Trade Association for almost three years. She previously worked as editor of Ag Answers for Purdue University and The Ohio State University and information writer for the Indiana State Department of Agriculture. Julie is a graduate of Purdue University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Communication. She is based out of the Mexico, MO., at Farm Journal’s editorial headquarters.   • Upon graduating from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater, Mark moved to Chicago and began his career in the futures industry in 1990 with the Agricultural Hedging Group at Merrill Lynch. In 1997, Mark earned a Master’s of Science in Financial Markets & Trading from the Illinois Institute of Technology. In 2000 his team moved to Prudential Bache Commodities. Throughout his career he has serviced a wide array of agri-business including farmers, grain elevators, poultry operations, cattle and hogs feeders, seed companies, food manufacturers, and ethanol plants. Mark’s goal is to help clients quantify their risk exposures, assist in determining risk management objectives, and develop strategies that are consistent with their risk tolerances in order to help attain their objectives. In Feb-09 he joined the Archer Financial Services team. Along with their 3 children, Mark and his wife Tracy, reside in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. Most of his free time is spent coaching his children’s baseball and basketball teams.
