HRW CCI Improves, Low Initial Spring Wheat CCI Rating

When USDA’s weekly crop condition ratings are plugged into the weighted Pro Farmer Crop Condition Index (0 to 500-point scale, with 500 being perfect), the HRW crop improved 5.2 points to 336.3 points while the SRW crop slipped 1.1 points to 374.1 points. The HRW crop is now 3.4 points above the five-year average for this date and the SRW rating is still 19.5 points above average.

The initial spring wheat CCI rating of 332.3 points is 54.3 points below last year’s first rating, which came a week later, and 42.3 points below the average for late May.
