Hillari Mason

Hillari grew up on a family farm in southern Illinois, where she learned to love agriculture and its lifestyle from a young age. Hillari graduated from Murray State University in 2012 and began working for Cargill as a grain merchandiser shortly thereafter. Her time there yielded expansive market knowledge, producer relationships and series 3 and 30 licenses. Hillari joined Pro Farmer in June 2022 and received her master of business administration from the University of Southern Indiana in 2023. Hillari lives on her own farm in southern Indiana and spends the bulk of her days studying futures markets.

Corn and soybean sales during the week ended Jan. 2 were each down 40% from the previous week, while wheat sales dipped 21%.
Wheat inspections rose 73,241 MT from the previous week to 412,342 MT for the week ended Jan. 2. Corn and soybean inspections each declined on the week.
For the week ended Dec. 26, net corn sales were down 55% from the previous week, while soybean and wheat sales fell 51% and 77% from the previous week, each carving a new marketing-year low.
Corn inspections during the week ended Dec. 26 led the decline, falling 268,000 MT from the previous week, while soybean and wheat inspections dropped 204,469 MT and 68,238 MT, respectively. However, net inspections were within pre-report estimates.
Weekly corn and wheat sales rose 46% and 34%, respectively, on the week, while soybean sales dipped 31% to a marketing-year low.
For the week ended Dec. 12, corn sales rose 24% to 1.17 MMT from a week ago, while wheat and soybean sales jumped 58% and 21%, respectively.
While soybean inspections faded during the week ended Dec. 12, they totaled 1.68 MMT.
Corn sales rose 63% from the previous week and 4% from the four-week average, while soybean sales were also notable at 2.3 MMT.
Corn inspections during the week ended Nov. 28 led the decline, though were within trade expectations, along with soybean and wheat inspections.
Weekly soybean inspections during the week ended Nov. 21 fell 164,413 MT from the previous week but were still notable at 2.1 MMT. Meanwhile, corn and wheat inspections each rose on the week.
