Although his career in soil keeps him “grounded,” Thomas continues to keep an eye to the sky as a licensed amateur radio operator with the McLean County Amateur Radio Emergency Service. When he’s not working, you can usually find this avid angler on the water searching for the next big catch.

Prior to joining the Pro Farmer team, Meghan worked as an editor at Stocks, Futures and Options (SFO) magazine. During her time there she gained her Series 3 license from the National Futures Association. She is a 2009 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Wartburg College (Waverly, IA) with Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and writing. At Pro Farmer, Meghan writes many of the daily market commentaries in addition to website news stories. She also compiles the quarterly Washington Report and the annual Tax Report. Meghan was born and raised in northwest Iowa near the small, rural community of LuVerne. Her family operates a grain and cattle (formerly dairy) farm and her mom’s side of the family raises grain and hogs.
