Meghan joined Pro Farmer in June 2011 as a reporter in training for the role of Washington editor. Prior to joining the Pro Farmer team, Meghan worked as an editor at Stocks, Futures and Options (SFO) magazine. During her time there she gained her Series 3 license from the National Futures Association. She is a 2009 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Wartburg College (Waverly, IA) with Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and writing. At Pro Farmer, Meghan writes many of the daily market commentaries in addition to website news stories. She also compiles the quarterly Washington Report and the annual Tax Report. Meghan was born and raised in northwest Iowa near the small, rural community of LuVerne. Her family operates a grain and cattle (formerly dairy) farm and her mom’s side of the family raises grain and hogs.

Her years of experience running a diverse and unique direct ship cash grain program, coupled with her current position as the Vice President of Grain for Citizens LLC in Charlotte, MI has given her an in-depth understanding of basis, spreads and futures. Twenty year old daughter of custom harvesters who travels with the family from Texas to Montana each summer, following the wheat harvest. She Represents the fourth generation of a custom harvesting family.

Sean Lusk is a registered commodity broker and Co-Director of the Commercial Hedging Division of Walsh Trading in Chicago. Sean began in the business as a runner on the trading floor during summer breaks from college in 1993. Upon his graduation from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1996, Sean began his career on the trading floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). Overseeing billions of dollars of transactions working as a clerk in the Eurodollar pit, Sean took the next step and became a floor broker and member of the CME in 2003. He handled customer orders for banks and investment houses from all over the world from inside the Libor pit at the CME. Now, at Walsh Trading, Sean utilizes his experience in the marketplace and his professional client service skills to aid and assist customers in their trading endeavors. Sean writes daily and weekly commentaries focusing on Precious Metals and Agricultural Markets along with related market activity. Ron Marshall is a partner with Marshall Marketing and Farm Records.Nine plus years of experience with one of the world’s largest grain companies has given Ron exposure to many key areas that affect today’s producers and processors. Ron’s resume includes origination, merchandising, trading, planning, profit and loss management, supply and demand analysis, market planning; and logistics for all modes of transportation including truck, container, rail, barge and ocean vessel. Prior to joining Marshall Marketing he was the export soybean meal manager for the largest exporter of soybean meal out of the US gulf.
