From a bright, sunny day in July to a cold, snowy day in January, Thomas Zerebny has always been fascinated by the ever-changing weather conditions across the world. In 2008, he graduated from Northern Illinois University with a B.S. in Geography. His first summer out of college was spent in the beautiful interior of Alaska working as a soil scientist for the Salcha-Delta Soil and Water Conservation District. He is currently employed by Crop-Tech Consulting, Inc., where he’s able to blend his passions for both soil and meteorology. Although his career in soil keeps him “grounded,” Thomas continues to keep an eye to the sky as a licensed amateur radio operator with the McLean County Amateur Radio Emergency Service. When he’s not working, you can usually find this avid angler on the water searching for the next big catch.

Meghan joined Pro Farmer in June 2011 as a reporter in training for the role of Washington editor. Prior to joining the Pro Farmer team, Meghan worked as an editor at Stocks, Futures and Options (SFO) magazine. During her time there she gained her Series 3 license from the National Futures Association. She is a 2009 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Wartburg College (Waverly, IA) with Bachelor of Arts degrees in English and writing. At Pro Farmer, Meghan writes many of the daily market commentaries in addition to website news stories. She also compiles the quarterly Washington Report and the annual Tax Report. Meghan was born and raised in northwest Iowa near the small, rural community of LuVerne. Her family operates a grain and cattle (formerly dairy) farm and her mom’s side of the family raises grain and hogs.

Angie Maguire spent her life on a farm before returning to agriculture from a cash grain perspective. Her years of experience running a diverse and unique direct ship cash grain program, coupled with her current position as the Vice President of Grain for Citizens LLC in Charlotte, MI has given her an in-depth understanding of basis, spreads and futures. This knowledge and experience translates into her ability to help her customers see the flow of cash grain and prices, maximizing margins and returning solid results. “Cash is King” focuses on the developments in the cash market, as well as ways you can take advantage of potential opportunities as they develop.
