  • Todd has been training retrievers for field trials and hunting for 12 years and brings tremendous passion and knowledge to Outdoors on the Farm. Todd’s participation in AKC Hunt Tests throughout the spring and summer has earned his dogs multiple Master Titles. Todd and his wife Heather own Arrowhead Kennels in Hudson, Iowa. On Outdoors on the Farm, Todd’s knowledge and training techniques will be featured in “Todd’s Tips,” a regular feature on the show. Todd says, “I’m excited about giving some tips to dog owners through the show. If I can offer one or two tips that will make a viewer’s time in the field more enjoyable, then I’ve done my job.”

When we’re riding, you’ll see Loren on his favorite mule, Rose. Loren is an avid trail rider and travels throughout the Midwest in the summer to meet with other mule riders. Loren’s biggest mule-riding adventure was a 10-day pack trip into the Colorado Rockies. He says, “I’d sure like to erase some of the myths about mules and give some tips about a really fun way to spend time in the outdoors just by saddling up a mule and going for a ride.”
  • Steve grew up in Oxford Junction, Iowa, and has been hunting and fishing with Chip Flory since they were very young. He is absolutely crazy for the outdoors and when he’s not making feed at a mill in Clarence, Iowa, you can probably find Steve sitting in a tree stand, a turkey blind, a flat-bottomed boat or on the bank of the Wapsipinicon River in eastern Iowa. Each fall, Steve also runs an extensive trap line for raccoon, coyote, beaver, mink and muskrat. Steve’s insights into hunting, fishing and trapping farms in eastern Iowa will help you make the most of the time you’ve got to spend in the outdoors.
