Heritage Iron Magazine was founded in 2008 in order to fill a need for those interested in muscle tractors. Heritage Iron features all brands, all makes, and all models of muscle tractors from the 1960’s to mid 1980’s including the equipment used by the tractors. Each issue highlights a featured tractor and presents a detailed account of the tractor, its attributes, its history, and its owner. Other regular features in the magazine are machinery milestones, letters to the editor, equipment and company history, classified ads, auction results, an editor’s page, farm toys, literature and memorabilia.

I am a Radio TV communications major. I lived on a farm in North Dakota for 8 years. Three years in Golva, North Dakota and about 5 in Delamere, North Dakota. I love to travel. We have a big garden every year. I still make soap and can about anything.

Ron was educated as a mathematics teacher, trained as a land use economist and has been involved with trading futures for more than 20 years. His professional designations include: MAI, CMT. Ron now keeps one finger in real estate, three fingers in trading and has allowed one finger to retire.

Chris Galen is the Senior Vice President of Communications for the National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) in Arlington, VA. Since 1997, Galen has helped develop and disseminate NMPF’s communications on issues as diverse as economic policy, environmental, food safety and animal health regulations, and international trade. He edits NMPF’s publications, oversees the content of its website, and serves as spokesman for the group with the news media and the public. Prior to working at NMPF, Galen worked for two members of Congress, the White House, and another food industry trade association. He also worked as a television anchor and reporter in his native Midwest. Chris attended college at the University of Nebraska, where he majored in journalism. He has a wife and kids. The opinions in this blog, On the Udder Hand, are Galen’s alone.
