I am a farmer in Southeastern Indiana, and have recently graduated from the University of Indianapolis with a degree in business and about ready to finish my MBA in finance.

The Monthly Crop Tour Insert from Pro Farmer is available throughout the growing season leading up to Pro Farmer Midwest Crop Tour. This year’s Midwest Crop Tour, sponsored by Pioneer Hi-Bred and John Deere Risk Protection (JDRP) will be Aug. 17 – 21 with up to 70 scouts traveling different routes on Eastern and Western Legs through Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota and Nebraska. Actively involved in farming since the late 80’s. Family includes my wife of 29 years, a son, a daughter and a grandson. I was raised on the farm I now operate, but was away from farming for 10 years. I came back to the farm because it was what I wanted to do.

My primary interest is in the biotech industry and ag policy. I worked for 5 years as a crop consultant at Southern States Cooperative and have completed a M.S. in Agriculture emphasizing Agronomy and Applied Economics. Currently I work as a data scientist.
