Crop conditions tick lower amid ongoing dryness and persistent disease, which continues to gather attention from the marketplace. Cool temperatures persist with some reports of frost in far northern production regions. Trump reported a deal was signed with Japan, which includes agricultural purchases, namely rice, corn and ethanol. Other countries are working to get deals signed as well as tariffs are beginning to make their effects more well known on the world economy. We take a look at the implications of our Crop Tour findings on the 2025-26 balance sheets, which also give a look into our demand assumptions for the new-crop marketing year.
