Cool temperatures were met with dryness across most of the Midwest, which is slowing the maturation of the corn crop and harming pod fill in soybeans. Trade headlines are starting to creep back into focus with countries looking to alter parts of the deals (or lack thereof) that are in place. EPA made a decision on 175 small refinery exemptions that have been backlogged for years. We take a look at recent reports surrounding cattle and what that could mean for the futures market, as well as reports of a person contracting New World screwworm. We spent time looking at Crop Tour data, comparing it to other years and providing insights into what that could mean for 2025 production. We cover all of these items and much more in this week’s newsletter.
