Trading on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange resumed Friday after an hours-long outage that halted activity in U.S. stock-index futures and other markets as traders prepared to return from the Thanksgiving Day holiday.
A CME spokeswoman said U.S. grain, oilseed and livestock futures and options were due to open at 8:30 a.m. CT for a holiday-shortened session, as scheduled.
U.S. stock-index futures, Treasury futures, gold and other markets had been affected. CME said a “cooling issue” at Cyrus One data centers was responsible for the halt.
