Wheat: December SRW rose 13 cents to $7.47, near mid-range. December HRW gained 16 3/4 cents to $8.19, near mid-range. December spring wheat futures rose 9 cents to $7.54. The winter wheat futures markets saw buying interest following the weekend news that Russian President Putin remains committed to continuing Russia’s war in Ukraine after his latest meeting with U.S. envoys.
Cotton: December cotton futures fell 1 point to 86.32 cents, near mid-range. Cotton futures saw mild profit-taking pressure for most of the session today.
Cattle: October live cattle rose $4.075 to $217.025, near the daily high and hit a two-week high. November feeder cattle rose $5.725 to $320.45, near the daily high and hit a three-week high. The cattle futures markets today saw more solid short covering and perceived bargain buying by the speculators.
Hogs: October lean hog futures rose $1.95 to $84.25, near the daily high. The lean hog futures market saw good short covering and perceived bargain buying today.
