Net sales of 1,418,600 MT for 2023/2024 were up 10 percent from the previous week, but down 12 percent from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for Mexico (669,800 MT, including 34,000 MT switched from Colombia and decreases of 11,100 MT), unknown destinations (386,400 MT), China (143,300 MT, including 136,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), South Korea (65,400 MT), and Saudi Arabia (50,000 MT), were offset by reductions for El Salvador (19,100 MT) and Honduras (500 MT).

Weekly Export Details

Exports of 851,000 MT were down 22 percent from the previous week, but up 18 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Mexico (374,600 MT), Colombia (159,200 MT), China (141,300 MT), Honduras (48,800 MT), and Canada (35,400 MT).

Export commitments are 35.8% ahead of a year-ago, compared to 35.2% ahead last week. USDA projects exports in 2023-24 at 2.100 billion bu., 26.4% above the previous marketing year.

Net sales of 1,490,500 metric tons (MT) for 2023/2024--a marketing-year high-- were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average. Increases primarily for China (1,120,000 MT), the Philippines (124,100 MT), Mexico (87,300 MT, including decreases of 2,900 MT), Japan (62,500 MT), and Chile (32,000 MT switched from unknown destinations), were offset by reductions for unknown destinations (37,400 MT), Malaysia (30,000 MT), and Panama (600 MT). Total net sales of 18,000 MT for 2024/2025 were for Colombia.

Weekly Export Details

Exports of 289,600 MT were up 46 percent from the previous week and 1 percent from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were primarily to Japan (79,800 MT), Mexico (50,100 MT), the Philippines (46,600 MT), Thailand (27,700 MT, including 27, 400 MT - late), and Italy (23,400 MT).

Increases were primarily for China (4,400 RB), India (1,300 RB), Italy (1,200 RB), Thailand (400 RB), and South Korea (300 RB). Total net sales of 1,200 RB for 2024/2025 were for Italy. Exports of 19,000 RB--a marketing-year high--were up noticeably from the previous week and from the prior 4-week average. The destinations were to China (11,100 RB), India (3,800 RB), Vietnam (2,300 RB), Thailand (1,000 RB), and Ethiopia (500 RB).
