When USDA’s initial crop condition ratings of the fall are plugged into the weighted Pro Farmer Crop Condition Index (0 to 500 point scale, with 500 being perfect), the HRW wheat crop starts with a rating of 353.7, which is 13.7 points above last year and 0.6 point above the five-year average. The initial SRW CCI rating is 26.6 points below last year and 31.7 points below the five-year average.
