Smaller Corn, Soybean and Cotton Crop Estimates Expected This Month

Pre-report expectations signal traders surveyed by Reuters (by Bloomberg for cotton) anticipate USDA lowering its crop estimates for corn, soybeans and cotton from the agency’s initial forecasts in August. USDA’s September corn and soybean estimates on Thursday will be based on the first objective field survey data, along with farmer surveys and satellite imagery.
