Corn CCI Rating Drops, Initial Soybean CCI Rating Well Below Average

When USDA's weekly crop condition are plugged into the weighted Pro Farmer Crop Condition Index (CCI; 0 to 500 point scale, with 500 representing perfect), the corn crop dropped 2.4 points to 350.6. The corn CCI rating is 31.1 points below the five-year average. USDA’s initial soybean crop ratings equate to a 341.8 CCI reading, which is 25.4 points below the five-year average and 34.8 points below last year at this time.
