GreenReport Reflects Stressful Conditions Across HRW Wheat Belt

The Kansas Applied Remote Sensing (KARS) GreenReport Greenness map that compares the change of greenness during early May 2014 to the average for this period shows movement toward less greenness across much of the HRW Wheat Belt.

The vegetative condition maps shows a large portion of the area in deep red, which reflects a high level of stress for the area. Nearly all of the HRW Wheat Belt is under "poor" or worse vegetation condition.
