For the fourth week in a row, corn and soybean markets are headed for a lower close, as trade fears and a strong start to the growing season have kept bears in control. But these markets were able to recoup some of their losses as the week progressed and we believe better prices are ahead.

We take you through the latest round of tit-for-tat trade tariffs between the U.S. and China and what they mean for the ag sector.

Of course we are keeping an eye on the weather. In this week’s letter you’ll find discussion the National Weather Service’s longer-term outlooks as well as the possibility of a high pressure ridge developing across the Midwest later this month.

And on news page 4 you’ll find the results of our Pro Farmer/Doane plantings survey. Find out how they compared to March intentions.

Read more on these topics and many others in this week’s newsletter.
