HRW CCI Rating Rises, SRW Rating Plunges Over Winter

When USDA’s initial crop condition ratings of the season are plugged into the weighted Pro Farmer Crop Condition Index (0 to 500 point scale, with 500 being perfect), the HRW crop rose 10.61 points from the final ratings last fall to 358.21. That’s 83.42 points higher than last year’s initial spring CCI rating. The SRW crop went the opposite direction, falling 27.44 points to 322.19. The SRW CCI rating starts spring 36.03 points below last year.
