Corn, Bean CCI Ratings Stay High Despite Mild Declines Again This Week

When USDA's weekly crop condition ratings are plugged into Pro Farmer's weighted (by production) Crop Condition Index (CCI; 0 to 500 point scale, with 500 representing perfect), the corn crop slipped 1.87 points to 389.29, while the soybean crop dipped 2.62 points to 372.03. Both crop remain well above last year and the five-year averages for this date. The corn CCI rating is 22.02 points above last year and 11.89 points higher than the five-year average. The soybean CCI rating is 19.45 points above last year and 9.38 points higher than the five-year average.
