Yet Another Surge in Soybean Export Inspections

Comments: Inspections were up 247,475 MT from last week and within expectations. Inspections for 2016-17 are up 74.3% from year-ago, compared to 75.4% ahead the previous week. USDA's 2016-17 export forecast of 2.225 billion bu. is up 17.2% above the previous marketing year.
Wheat

Comments: Inspections are up 60,288 MT from the previous week and matched expectations. Inspections for 2016-17 are running 28.5% ahead of year-ago compared to 27.1% ahead last week. USDA's export forecast for 2016-17 is at 975 million bu., up 25.8% from the previous marketing year.
Soybeans
Actual (MT) 2,867,212
Expectations (MMT) 2,200,000-2,500,000
Comments: Export inspections were up 107,452 MT from the previous week's tally and were even stronger than anticipated. Inspections for 2016-17 are running 11.2% ahead of year-ago, compared to 10.8% ahead the previous week. USDA's 2016-17 export forecast is at 2.025 billion bu., up 4.6% from year-ago.
