.Showers scattered across central and northwestern Mato Grosso, north central Mato Grosso do Sul, northern Goias, southwestern Minas Gerais and north central Sao Paulo this past weekend, which further improved moisture for corn and soybean germination.

Rains should continue to build across south central and western areas this week, which will further improve moisture for early growth. The rains will be most beneficial in Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, southern Sao Paulo and Parana. However, dryness will continue to rebuild in northern Minas Gerais and Bahia. Also, some wetness will persist in central Rio Grande do Sul.

.For Argentina, rains favored La Pampa this past weekend, but rains should spread across much of the region this week, favoring northern La Pampa, northern Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Santa Fe and Entre Rios. The rains will maintain abundant moisture for corn and soybean growth, but some wetness will likely build across La Pampa and southern Cordoba. Also, some very limited dryness will likely continue in far southeastern Buenos Aires, where rain amounts will likely be lightest. Rains should ease a bit in most areas in the 6-10 day period.
